Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Asli Tools ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website and tools. Most file tools run in your browser on your device. A tool only sends a file to our servers when the tool page clearly says that server processing is required. We take privacy seriously and collect only what we need to run and improve the service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to operate, secure, improve, and support Asli Tools. That can include information you give us, limited technical data collected automatically, analytics and advertising cookies (when allowed), and details from forms or optional account features.

Most file tools keep your files on your device. When a tool needs the server or an optional AI feature, we say so on that tool page before you proceed.

1.1 Information You Provide

Depending on how you use the site, you may provide:

  • Files, images, or text you choose to process with a tool
  • Contact form details such as name, email, subject, and message
  • Account details if you create an account (for example name, email, and password) or sign in with Google
  • Email verification and password-related details for account security
  • Optional cloud import choices when you connect Google Drive or Dropbox to pick a file

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit the site, we may automatically collect:

  • Technical details such as IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Usage data such as pages viewed, tools opened, approximate conversion events, and error logs
  • Cookie and similar identifiers used for language, theme, consent choices, security, analytics, and (when enabled) advertising
  • Daily conversion credit counters for guests (linked to IP and related signals) and for signed-in users (linked to the account)
  • Referral information such as the site that sent you to Asli Tools

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive limited information from providers that help us run the site, such as analytics services, advertising partners (when ads are shown), email delivery (for verification and contact messages), authentication providers such as Google if you choose Google sign-in, and AI providers when you use an optional AI feature that sends content for processing.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the tools, including browser-based processing and labeled server-side processing
  • Apply fair use limits such as daily guest conversion credits and unlimited access for signed-in accounts
  • Respond to contact messages and send account emails such as verification messages
  • Improve performance, reliability, and content based on aggregated usage patterns
  • Detect abuse, spam, fraud, and security threats, including rate limiting
  • Remember preferences such as language, theme, and cookie consent choices
  • Show light advertising that helps keep the tools free, when advertising cookies are allowed
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms

3. How We Process and Store Data

Processing depends on the tool. Many converters, image tools, calculators, and text utilities run entirely in your browser. When server processing is required, files are sent over HTTPS, used only for the requested job, and deleted after processing.

We keep limited operational data such as security logs, analytics events, cookie preferences, account records, contact messages, and error reports. Temporary server files are normally deleted within 1 to 24 hours. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to reply and maintain support records. You can contact us to ask about deletion of personal information where the law allows.

3.1 Browser Processing

For browser-first tools, files and text stay on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. Typical examples include many image converters, text utilities, calculators, and QR tools.

3.2 Server Processing

For tools that need our servers:

  • Transfer uses HTTPS
  • We process the file only for the job you requested
  • Temporary files are deleted after processing (normally within 1 to 24 hours)
  • We do not sell your files or use them for marketing lists

3.3 Optional AI Features

Some tools offer optional AI features (for example OCR or summarization) that may send the content you submit to a third-party AI provider such as Google Gemini to complete the request. We only do this when you use that feature. We do not use your files to train Asli Tools models. The provider processes the content under its own terms and privacy policy. Tool pages that use AI should say so before you submit content.

3.4 Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law:

  • Temporary processed files on our servers: normally deleted within 1 to 24 hours
  • Contact messages: kept while we respond and for reasonable support records
  • Account information: kept until you delete the account or ask us to delete it (subject to legal needs)
  • Analytics, security, and credit-limit logs: kept for a reasonable period for improvement, abuse prevention, and compliance

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when needed to run the service or when the law requires it.

4.1 Service Providers

We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf, for example:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Analytics providers such as Google Analytics
  • Email delivery providers such as Resend (account verification and contact form delivery)
  • Advertising partners when ads are enabled
  • Authentication providers such as Google if you use Google sign-in
  • AI providers such as Google Gemini when you use an optional AI feature
  • Cloud storage providers only when you choose to import a file from Google Drive or Dropbox

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is needed to protect users, our service, or rights and safety.

4.3 Business Transfers

If Asli Tools is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer as part of that deal. We will post a notice if ownership or control of personal information changes in a material way.

4.4 With Your Consent

We may share information with a third party when you clearly ask us to, for example when you connect a cloud account to import a file.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions (such as language, theme, security, and cookie choices), analytics, and advertising when you allow those categories.

You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner or your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may limit analytics or ads, but core tools should still work. For more detail, see our Cookies page where it is available for your language.

6. Third-Party Services

The site may use third-party services with their own privacy policies. Examples include Google Analytics, advertising networks that help keep the tools free, Google sign-in, Google Gemini for optional AI features, and Google Drive or Dropbox when you import a file.

Please review those providers' policies to understand how they handle data. We are not responsible for practices on sites or services we do not control.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including HTTPS, access controls, and automatic deletion of temporary server files.

No internet transmission or storage method is perfectly secure. We work to protect your information but cannot promise absolute security. More detail may appear on our Security page where it is available for your language.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information, object to certain processing, request a portable copy, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

You can also manage cookie preferences, stop using optional AI or cloud import features, and request account deletion where accounts exist.

To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within a reasonable time under applicable law. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

9. Children's Privacy

Asli Tools is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections with processors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, tools, or legal requirements change. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page and post the new policy here.

For significant changes, we may also show a notice on the website. Continued use of Asli Tools after an update means you accept the revised policy.
